      A Yuletide and Hanukkah festival of favorites including LeRoy Anderson’s Christmas Festival, Bavel’s Hanukkah Fantasy, a movement from Handel’s Messiah and a joyful explosion of “A Mannheim Steamroller Christmas.”

This recital allows you to become a part of the action as you support the finalists competing on stage for the chance to perform with the OSO at the final subscription concert series and a $1,000 scholarship. Will you guess who the judges choose?

      The power of Wagner’s Siegfried-Idyll, the familiar pleasures of Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf and the haunting refrains from the Academy Award winning movie Platoon – Barber’s Adagio for Strings – all lead up to a concert-ending climax; Dimitri Shostakovich’s dramatic Suite from Hamlet, Op. 32.

      Take pleasure in a journey down a mystic river, Smetana’s The Moldau; enjoy the brilliance of two student concerto winners and be dazzled by the pulsating excitement of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite.
